Welcome back, friends! After brief sadness that Amir Tsarfati chose to discontinue reporting news in the Middle East, I’m now glad he did. I believe the wisdom of the Lord pours through Amir differently and much more powerfully as he recommits to teach the Word of God without the distractions of current events. I have been blessed, and if you follow him, I’m sure you have been, too.

Recently, Amir commented on God’s preparation of His uniquely called people (the Jews) to return to the land He promised them. Certainly, it begs the question, “Is it time for Jews to return to Israel?” Though I hope it doesn’t come across offensively to my Jewish friends, Biblically speaking, the land of Israel is crying out for their return. Here is Amir’s commentary on Ezekiel 36 and God’s calling of the Jewish people:

Not only does the Lord want His people to return to Him - He also wants them to return to the land He gave them.

According to His own words, the days His people spend away from their land bring dishonor to His holy name:

“When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name - when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they had gone out of His land.’”
— Ezekiel 36:20 (NKJV)

That is why God promised to restore Israel first physically and then spiritually.

First, He gathers the Jewish people back to their own land:

“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”
— Ezekiel 36:24 (NKJV)

Only then does He promise their spiritual cleansing and renewal:

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean… I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.”
— Ezekiel 36:25-26 (NKJV)

I have been following very closely what is happening in America, Europe, South Africa, Australia, and the United Kingdom. My conclusion is very clear - it is time for the Jews to leave. It is time for them to come back home.

Here in Israel they will not only be safer - they will also be fulfilling God’s desire for His people. That is a double win.

Just as in Europe in the late 1930s, the Jewish people today have two choices - leave while it is still possible and relatively easy, or wait until they are attacked and barely escape.

Whichever they choose, they will eventually return. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Before the Messiah returns to reign from Jerusalem for one thousand years, Israel must be back in her land and ultimately welcome Him by saying:

Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai - “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”

As Yeshua Himself declared:

“For I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
— Matthew 23:39 (NKJV)

God’s call has never changed:

“Return to Me, and I will return to you,”
— Malachi 3:7 (NKJV)

His promises are irrevocable, His covenant is everlasting, and His prophetic Word will be fulfilled exactly as He declared.

It becomes more and more difficult to view current events through a Biblical lens and come to any other conclusion than the calling of God for the return of the Jews to their homeland. For us as believers, it should excite us that the time of their invitation – “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” – will soon occur! Of course, final salvation of Israel will not come until the Tribulation has taken its toll. Yet even those in Israel who believe in Yeshua’s finished work on the cross will be taken with all believers in Christ during the Rapture!

The Holy Spirit is stirring, and our world is experiencing birth pangs described by Jesus in Matthew 24:7-8. Friends, it is not long until the Lord Jesus calls us (believers) to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). In Christian-speak, we know that as the Rapture. Then comes the Tribulation, at the end of which Jewish eyes will be fully open to see the Messiah (Romans 11:25-27).

Whether you are Jew or Gentile, I have great news for you. We all obtain salvation in Jesus (Yeshua) the exact same way, and that salvation ensures that we escape the wrath (Great Tribulation) that is coming. In John 3:1-21, Jesus preaches salvation to a Jewish man named Nicodemus, and in verse 3, gently tells Nicodemus that to enter the kingdom of God (salvation), he must be born again. Of course, Jesus had to explain what that meant, but Nicodemus heard the gospel truth that night.

Friends, it doesn’t matter whether you are Jewish or Gentile. If you do not know Jesus, He is asking you right now to be born again. (Read John 3:1-21.) Jesus died for the sin of the entire world, so that you could have eternal life in Christ Jesus. He will indeed sprinkle clean water on you and put a new spirit within you, just as Amir alluded to in his commentary above.

Jewish and Gentile friends, please make peace with God today. And dear Jewish friends, there is a land promised to you, and a God who will fight for you. That land is Israel, and that God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Both your land and your God are calling you!
