Hi friends! For many years I have written and taught that without Israel, there would be no Messiah. Think about it. For God’s Word to be true (and it is!), Jesus the Messiah HAD to be born in Israel, and of the seed of Abraham. He had to be King of the Jews, or the Bible authors got it wrong! (They didn’t!) Indeed, Israel gave us Jesus the Messiah!
But I’ve never thought about that truth in an opposite, but equally intriguing way. Without the Messiah, there would have been no need for Israel! God birthed the Jewish nation for a powerful purpose: to bring forth the Savior of the world, Jesus the Messiah! Without the Messiah, what’s the point of a uniquely called nation? It works in both directions!
Amazingly, many in the world today refute those truths on so many levels. For example, some believe Jesus is not God or Messiah, so Israel is expendable. In their eyes, Israel is the troublemaker in the Middle East (and the world). Jesus the Messiah means nothing, so why should I care about Israel?
Others adhere to Replacement Theology which tells us God rejects the Jews because they rejected Him. Thus, the promises of God now belong to the church, not to Israel. They believe the church has replaced Israel. Israel means nothing, so why should I care about Jesus the Messiah?
Satan’s delivery of the message is far more subtle, but take a look around and you will find those ideas thriving everywhere, sadly, including the church.
Here is Amir making the case:
