To all my Gentile friends, let me explain. At sundown this evening, Jews around the world will begin the 8-day celebration of Hanukkah. It is a most joyous time!
A few years ago I had the privilege of being in Jerusalem as Hanukkah commenced, and I must say, Jews are notorious when it comes to celebrations! There was singing and dancing on Ben Yehuda Street, and on the walls of the Old City danced the laser lights of Hanukkah symbols such as the hanukkiah, dreidels and other images. It was loud and everyone participated in merriment! Here is a glimpse:
