Just when you think absurdity has reach its zenith, new levels of evil nonsense come to light. And yes….if it has to do with world events, Israel is typically in the middle of it and often becomes the target of unchecked bias and abuse. That is exactly what is happening during this Islamic holy month of Ramadan. (A time supposedly marked by prayer and fasting by Muslims.)
Despite highly escalated tensions on Temple Mount, attacks by Palestinians on the ground and missiles from Gaza and Lebanon from the air, the United Nations Security Council rejected Israel’s request to present a video showing dramatic events on Temple Mount. Here are just a few videos of activity on Temple Mount: Molotov cocktail thrown out mosque window, regathering rocks to throw again from inside the mosque, fireworks set off inside mosque guarded by Israeli police, Palestinians running into the mosque after starting riot with Israeli police, and Palestinians set fire to a tree on Temple Mount and blame Israel. Just for good measure, terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired rockets toward Israel, but the Iron Dome took care of business! (That’s a cool video!)
Instead of viewing evidence, the international community, including the Russian ambassador whose nation is obliterating Ukrainians with some of the world’s most powerful weapons, calls for “calm on both sides” regarding the violence on Temple Mount. Who better to speak of “calm on both sides!”
Seriously!?!?!
Though not allowed to provide video evidence to the UN (Unnecessary!) Security Council, Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, stated:
“Stop placing Israel and the extreme terror organizations as equals on the same level and call for calm on both sides. Such calls only validate terror activity and contribute to increase the violence. ….Just as we saw in recent days with missiles fired from Gaza and yesterday from Lebanon: There is only one side to blame here for the violence and chaos and these are the Palestinian terror organizations that are trying to hijack the Temple Mount and incite violence. The international community is hiding its head in the sand like an ostrich.”

Indeed, the absurdity is impossible to miss. Perhaps the best Biblical description is “lawlessness,” which Jesus referred to in Mathew 24:12, just before He described the tribulation and coming of the Antichrist. Paul echoed the sentiments when he described the coming of the lawless one (Antichrist), in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12.
Aren’t you glad we (believers/followers of Jesus Christ) will not be here during the tribulation, when evil and deception will be so rampant, those left will not recognize life as they know it? When Jesus left planet earth, He promised He will return for us (John 14:1-3), and we will be delivered from that awful wrath (tribulation) that is to come (1 Thessalonians 1:10 and 5:9). If you are not a believer and follower of Jesus, why not?
Rest assured Christian friends, when we see these things happen, we rest assured Jesus will rescue us at His appointed time!
