Understanding the Geopolitical Landscape in the Middle East from a Biblical Perspective

By now, most believers with interest in Bible prophecy are familiar with the Ezekiel 38 prophecy, detailing an invasion of Israel by Russia, Iran and Turkey (among other minor players). The players are in place, and the stage seems to be set for that event to happen soon.

But how did we get here, how should we view it, and how close are we to seeing dramatic fulfillment of key prophecies? To answer those questions, we need a solid understanding of the geopolitical landscape in the Middle East, and what is driving the situation forward.
