Today Israeli Air Force Enters German Airspace for the First Time in History

Israeli fighter jets land in Germany

Watch as a German Lt General welcomes an Israeli General to German airspace for the first time ever:

Why this special occasion?

The Israeli Air Force will participate in joint military exercises for the first time in Germany. But before that, they will make commemorative flyovers of the Fuerstenfeldbruck airbase, remembering the 11 Israeli athletes murdered during the 1972 Olympics in Munich, and the outskirts of Dachau, a concentration camp during the Holocaust. 6 million Jews lost their lives to the evils of the German Nazis, and a wreath will be laid at a memorial site, commemorating those who lost their lives.

Historic!

Read more about it here. Israel’s position on the world stage continues to be solidified.
