President Trump is scheduled to meet with both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White party leader, Benny Gantz, tomorrow (Monday). They are set to discuss the Trump administration’s “Deal of the Century.” Both leaders are en route from Jerusalem at the time of this post.

On Tuesday, it is believed President Trump will reveal the plan publicly, likely with Netanyahu at his side.

Whether leaked or imaginary, it is thought by some that Trump will give the Palestinians as many as four years to accept conditions of the deal. Details of the financial portion of the plan were released in June 2019, and the Palestinians immediately rejected it, despite the commitment of $30-50 billion and at least 179 different infrastructure projects by partner nations.

At that point, Palestinian leadership discontinued all communication with the White House and has rejected the deal outright without knowledge of its contents. It is highly unlikely they will accept the deal either now or within the allotted time frame laid out by the plan.

Bible prophecy lends little hope that the deal will materialize. However, Romans 12:18 exhorts us: If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. The offer goes forth. Let’s hope, for the sake of the Palestinian people, something will “stick,” even if the deal cannot be sealed.

As for Palestinian leadership, they are likely turning down a deal that would totally transform the lives of the citizens they purport to serve. Rather than thrive, they will likely continue to languish in oppression while the Palestinian Authority continues to line their pockets and live in luxury.

Pray that I’m totally wrong.
