“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Then He told them a parable: “Behold the fig tree and all the trees; as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
~Luke 21:25-33

My friends, do you believe our redemption (the return of Jesus Christ) is near?  Behold the fig tree (Israel).  It has put forth its leaves (May 14, 1948), and the season is here!  Luke tells us that, when we see these things happen, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.  Thus, we must straighten up and lift up our heads because our redemption is truly drawing near!

I don’t have time to develop all that I want to share, and world events are moving so quickly that what I would share may be “outdated” in only a day or two!  Thus, I want to direct you to two timely articles, written by men for whom I have great respect as Bible scholars and prophecy experts.  Please read:

Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu (Israel’s Prime Minister) gave a 42-minute speech at the UN General Assembly this morning, reiterating the danger posed by Iran, and rebuking world leaders for allowing Iran to continue threatening the destruction of Israel while arming itself with nuclear weapons.  Click here to view his speech.

Just as Scripture tells us, Israel will be attacked by the very nations now gathering on her doorstep, and America will be a non-player in end times.  These are times of sifting.  Who will stand with the Lord God of Israel…and who will simply call themselves Christians but fall away in the last days?  Brothers and sisters, let’s commit ourselves daily to the Lord Jesus Christ, our Blessed Hope!
