Saved from Wrath at the Trumpet of God

Hi friends! As we slide out of the 4th of July weekend, let’s get excited about Biblical truth as believers in Jesus!

First, don’t confuse the trumpets! Many who are familiar with the seven Jewish feasts believe the Feast of Trumpets is symbolic of the rapture. After all, the Bible talks about a trumpet at the rapture, right?

Well, not so fast! The Feast of Trumpets commemorates Jesus’ return alright, but that celebration commemorates Jesus’ Second Coming (following the Great Tribulation) when Jesus actually returns to earth…and us with Him!

The trumpet associated with the rapture is the trumpet of God (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18). It’s a totally different trumpet than the one blown during the Feast of Trumpets.

Secondly, 1 Thessalonians 1:10 tells us we are saved FROM the wrath of God, not through the wrath of God. Believers in Jesus will not go through the Tribulation (wrath of God) but will be saved from it. That is rapture talk, dear friends! We won’t be here for the Tribulation.
