Could This Week be One of the Most Pivotal Moments in Recent American History?

Following the shell shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, there has been lots of talk about revival in America. Frankly, I’m praying it is true, but I am very skeptical about it. If revival comes, it will come at great cost, and I wonder how many Christians have the stomach to stand strong enough to see it happen. We say we want it, but our faith and resolve will be tested.

Over the past week news has floated regarding:

  • A 21-point peace plan for Israel-Gaza. Trump and Netanyahu meet this morning at the White House to supposedly hammer out final details. Anything short of the return of all hostages, disarming of Hamas, and dismantling the terror organization is unacceptable to Israel. Will Trump force Israel into a peace deal that rewards Hamas for the October 7 massacre?
  • The Pentagon has summoned all of America’s highest-ranking Generals and Admirals to Washington DC on Tuesday, where supposedly they will hear directly from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and President Trump. What is so important and imminent that every one of our highest officers are called away from their posts at the same time?
  • Russia continues to rattle cages in Eastern Europe, invading NATO nations’ sovereign airspace. It is clear provocation. What is Russia up to?
  • Sources now indicate that Iran’s highly enriched uranium was not stored in the underground facilities Israel and the US destroyed back in April.
  • The Russian news agency TASS reports that Russia intends to invest $25 billion to rebuild nuclear facilities in Iran. They have supposedly already shipped fighter jets to Iran. The next war with Iran will almost assuredly include Russia as well. That should not be a surprise, as Ezekiel 38-39 predicted that centuries ago. As someone has so aptly stated, a wounded animal is a very dangerous animal.
  • During last week’s United Nations General Assembly meetings, dozens of nations voted to recognize a Palestinian state, again rewarding Hamas for October 7. The vote in the UN doesn’t necessarily make it legally so, but the Palestinians/Hamas are emboldened by those nations.

As never before, it is time for Christians to get into God’s Word. The world is an incredibly deceptive place, and current events are being spun in very subtle ways. The entire Word of God teaches us His will and His ways in all things. One of those things is the Biblical mandate to stand with Israel, and that is our focus here. Do not be deceived by what you hear but turn to God’s Word to know what is true.

Today, please pray for the White House meeting between President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu. May God give clear direction and may those men and their staffs be bold enough to follow that direction.

Tomorrow, please pray for the Trump-Hegseth meeting with America’s top brass. Again, may the voice of God be heard clearly and heeded completely.

Ongoing, please pray for wisdom and boldness of the US, Israeli and allied administrations as this time of “wars and rumors of wars” escalates. We need the wisdom of God, and we are told to ask for it. (James 1:5) Ask…and He will provide it!
