Day 24: 31 Days of Prayer for Israel – Holocaust of the Unborn

Today’s post absolutely breaks my heart…and I hope it does yours as well.

The liberal-conservative spectrum is as broad in Israel as in any other nation on the planet. On one hand, a strong ultra-Orthodox community tends to subscribe to the Mosaic law and are typically very conservative. In fact, there is great respect for life among most Israelis.

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv is one of the world’s most liberal cities, rivaling New York City, Amsterdam and other major cities when it comes to liberalism. Sexual perversion is rampant in Israeli liberal strongholds, and sadly, abortion is very widespread.

Throughout Jewish history, the Hebrew people rebelled against God, even sacrificing their young on the burning hot alter of Molech. The only difference today is the alter happens to be abortion clinics.

It is a worldwide issue, but today we’re laser-focused on Israel and the women served by One for Israel.

13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

~Psalm 139:13-14

This year in Israel, one in ten pregnancies will end in abortion. That’s over 40,000lives lost per year. Many mothers want to keep their baby, but fear they won’t be able to support them as a single mother. This is where One for Israel, along with other partners around Israel, personally reach out to provide essentials and encouragement to at-risk mothers, helping them choose life.

Please pray for each woman OFI serves, that God will meet them in their time of need. Pray that God would draw those who don’t know Him to saving faith, a life of discipleship, and spiritual growth.
