Day 16: 31 Days of Prayer for Israel – Challenges of Fellowship

In Israel, where does a Messianic believer in Jesus go for fellowship and growth? You might be surprised to know there are several congregations of Messianics, but there are challenges nonetheless. Let’s find out more, then pray for those congregations.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

~Colossians 3:16

It’s not easy for new believers who want to attend a congregation in Israel. Firstly, congregations usually meet on Shabbat – Friday evening to Saturday evening – the one day where there is no public transportation! Secondly, a large percentage of new believers haven’t been able to come out publicly with their faith and they follow Jesus in secret. This is particularly true of those from an Orthodox background.

Today, pray for those unable to attend congregations, that the word of Christ would dwell in them richly through online services and digital discipleship materials.

Thank you for your faithful prayers, dear friends! You are blessing Israel in ways you don’t even know!
