It amazes me how God intertwined the privileges and responsibilities of Jews and Gentiles! Consider this: God chose a Gentile pagan (Abraham) to be father of the Jews. Jews did not exist prior to that! God chose a Gentile! But then, He gave the Jews a very specific calling, according to Genesis 12:3. They are to bless all the families of the earth.
How are they to do that? Through Jesus Christ…a Jew! Thus, God chose a Jew to save Gentiles!
But wait! By and large, the Jewish people rejected Jesus. So, God commissioned Gentiles, in Romans 11, to provoke the Jews to jealousy! In a sense, we have their Jewish Messiah, and God’s desire is that we make them jealous to have Him back!
Only God could come up with such a plan! Of course, that is a simplified version, but nonetheless, it is clear we each have blessings and responsibilities. Whether Jew or Gentile, let’s do our part!
BTW – Here’s is Amir Tsarfati’s brief instruction concerning that! Enjoy!
