Our God is on Watch!

Good morning friends. It was a sleepless night spent in prayer and my soul is restless. I’ve leaned into the Lord with great trust, but something won’t let me simply lie down and sleep. There is a private call in my being to remain at my battle station in prayer.

With threats of impeachment of our President, combined with myriads of rumors surrounding Pakistan, China, the Vatican, the Biden’s, etc, my spirit is restless and my gut tells me we are perhaps on the brink of major happenings not only in our country, but around the world. However, because I can’t confirm what is only hinted at, I won’t speculate.

Having said that, I encourage you to be very discerning of what you read or hear on mainstream media or social media. We are at a place where rumors are flying on all sides, so be wary of being drawn into any narrative. As Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2, lawlessness (and evil!) are already at work in our world. The media propagates it, so we are wise to stay away from it!

On the other hand, I am as certain as I have ever been that believers absolutely must put on the armor and go to battle in prayer. Perhaps the rumors will quell and at least a bit of calm will prevail. There is no need to fear or be dismayed, but I am very sensitive to what I believe the Lord is calling me to in this moment.

If the days ahead indeed prove to be turbulent, recall to mind God’s promises to us! Our God is sovereign over all, He is in control, He is working out His plan, and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Remember the former things long past,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things which have not been done,
Saying, ‘My plan will be established,
And I will accomplish all My good pleasure.’”

~Isaiah 46:9-10

Be encouraged, no matter what the days ahead bring!

    I am so with you on this, Kym, and am praying without ceasing. I fear not, for He is in control, but I pray and pray and pray.
