Are you weary of the election chaos? If you are a conservative, are you distressed about the status of things? Are you anxious or at peace?
Dear friends, our peace comes ONLY from the Lord, our Rock eternal! He’s the One in whom we trust, and He will keep us in perfect peace as our minds are steadfast, trusting in Him! We must not lose sight of that.
Likely, we have all engaged in conversations regarding what we think about the candidates, what we think about the electoral process, what we think happened on election night, what we think the impact is to religious freedom, what we think the impact is on US relations with Israel…and on and on.
In all things and in all ways, we must rest upon the same truth: regardless of who sits in the White House, King Jesus sits on the throne!
With that as a solid foundation, here are a few thoughts. There are reports of dozens of suspicious things believed to have happened at polls and tabulation centers (and even before the election). More is coming to light and it seems there may be merit to some of them. I appreciate President Trump and his legal team for fighting for the interests of over 70 million people who voted for him. I also agree with this statement by the Heritage Foundation.
If there were illegal/unethical things done during the election, I pray they are exposed. Our nation’s integrity and our electoral system are at stake, and many other hidden evils in Washington could be uncovered if current investigations reveal further dirt in the DC deep state.
Be reminded and encouraged: according to Romans 13:1, it is God who puts rulers in place, and He doesn’t need to cheat to get it done! If He intends Trump to remain President, God is fully capable of bringing that about! On the other hand, if Biden is the guy, I pray that will be borne out in investigations and election auditing.
However, my trust is in the Lord our God, not in the legal system! God is in control…and we either believe it or we don’t! Scripture is clear whose Kingdom will reign and who will sit on the throne forever:
13 “I kept looking in the night visions,~Daniel 7:13-14
And behold, with the clouds of heaven
One like a son of man was coming,
And He came up to the Ancient of Days
And was presented before Him.
14 And to Him was given dominion,
Honor, and a kingdom,
So that all the peoples, nations, and populations of all languages
Might serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
Which will not pass away;
And His kingdom is one
Which will not be destroyed.
8 But regarding the Son He says,
“Your throne, God, is forever and ever,~Hebrews 1:8
And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom.
Pray that evil is revealed and righteousness reigns…and rest in the fact that King Jesus will never leave the throne!
