Are We Reaching the Point of No Return?

The Bible states very clearly and repeatedly that there will come a point in human history where things will reach their final stage. Since the birth of the Church Age, the world has been marching slowly towards the last of the last days. That generation will have reached the proverbial “point of no return.”

Is human history, as we know it on this earth, approaching its final stage? As we experience the world around us, do you get a sense we are in the beginning throws of birth pangs Jesus told His disciples would come upon the last days? Do you see the stage being set for end time prophecy?

I think most will agree we see very ominous signs of impending chaos and destruction. Perhaps our senses are on heightened alert in America as we watch blatant evil play out in our nation, particularly when it comes to issues surrounding the upcoming presidential election. Never has such blatant lies, smears and hatred filled our airwaves. The end doesn’t hinge on America, but America is absent in Biblical reference to end times.

Might we be witnessing the fall of the most blessed nation in the history of the world? If so, how long will the rest of the world be able to hold out against evil if the country founded on Biblical principles is suddenly no longer relevent?

That leads to an important question: Are world events in our control?

Indeed, world events don’t wait for you to decide whether you follow Jesus or not. Christian friends, if we are not truly seeking and following Jesus, it is time to forsake all that hinders us, and follow Him.

Dear unbelieving friend, the time is now. The world as we know it could come undone at any moment. We could be thrown headlong into worldwide chaos. In fact, the Bible says that will happen after believers are taken out of this world and hell on earth (the Tribulation) commences.

In 2 Corinthians 6:2, Paul declares now is the time of salvation. No matter what you’ve done, or how “good” or “bad” you are, there is salvation in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus said:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

~John 14:6

I am convinced someone is reading this right now, and you don’t need anyone to preach to you or tell you more about Jesus. You’ve heard and you know…but you have never given yourself to Him. You are ready, but you just need someone to walk you into that relationship with Jesus. Friend, today is YOUR day of salvation. Take 2 minutes and walk into the presence of the Lord. Surrender before that fateful day when Jesus will take us out of here and hell will be unleashed on earth.

To start your walk with Him, here are three things you can do:

  • Tell someone! Do you have a Christian friend who will encourage you? Is there a pastor to point you in the right direction as you begin your new walk?
  • Begin to read your Bible. The book of John is a great place to start. Don’t have a Bible? No worries: BibleGateway is an online version and its free!
  • Find a Bible-believing church and begin attending. There are lots of good churches, and some not so good. Here’s what to look for: Do they open up God’s Word and teach from it? If so, you’ve found a good one. If not, keep looking until you find it!

If you have no one to tell and/or you need help finding a church, please email us at Not only will we encourage you, but we will do everything possible to help you find a church.
