Despite COVID-19, Jews from around the world continue to make aliyah (return to the homeland) from around the world. They are coming in large numbers, even from places such as France, the UK and the United States.
Why? Many reasons, but here are just a few:
- Antisemitism is growing exponentially in areas once thought isolated from anti-Jewish sentiment (France, UK and US included).
- Israel is a world leader in medical technology and seem to have a better handle on COVID treatment and prevention than other nations.
- My favorite…the Bible states clearly that Israel will be reborn (which it was on May 14, 1948) and the Jews will return to the land (Ezekiel 36-37, among other places).
