The Six Day War: Day 5

Following victory in Egypt and the Sinai, sights turned to the vulnerable area known today as the West Bank. In Biblical times the area was known as Judea and Samaria, rich with ancient history going back to Abraham.

Day 5 marked a strategic focus on Israel’s northern border, also known as the Golan Heights, and what a battle it was! The account follows below, but if you have not seen the short reports on the first 4 days of the Six Day War, be sure to watch them first:


It would take Israel one more day to finish business on the Golan Heights to force a ceasefire and an end of the Six Day War. Come back tomorrow to see how one of the most miraculous war victories in Israel’s history occurs.
