Hi friends! Yesterday we focused on the proposed Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations that Russia has offered to host. This is most certainly not a new idea, as peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians have been going on for decades, yet with no success. Why? Not because no viable peace plans have been suggested. Not because the Palestinians would fail to get significant chunks of land. Not because Israel hasn’t agreed to suggested peace plans.
No, the peace plans have not been successful because, plain and simple, the Palestinians (backed by Arabs of the Middle East) refuse to recognize a Jewish state whatsoever. They want it all, claiming that the land of Israel really belongs to them.
Well, let’s get the facts straight, and here is a brief explanation to help us understand the scenario:
As we’ve learned before, the term “Palestine” first made reference to the Jews when Hadrian, wanting to delegitimize Jews, called the land of Israel “Syria Palestina” (named after Israel’s arch enemy, the Philistines). As we see again in the video above, today’s Palestinians have no real claim to the land. Yet the negotiations move forward to try to divide up (and eventually eliminate) the land of Israel. Woe to those who do so…
“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land.”
~Joel 3:1-2
Pray, Christian friends, pray!
Where could live Palestinian people, in your opinion? In Jordan or Syria?
There is nothing that prevents Palestinian people from living in Israel as they do now. There is no effort to expel them. The issue is whether or not there is a Jewish state. The Palestinians do not/will not acknowledge a Jewish state, and ultimately want to eliminate Israel.
However, God has promised the Jewish people (through the Abrahamic Covenant) the land of Israel. We can be certain that, ultimately, God’s promise will be made whole!
Good question! Thanks for following…many blessings!
