Despite traveling today, I have remained abreast of the news, and join many others who are appalled. After 8 years of diplomatic failure, the Obama administration, through Secretary of State John Kerry, has laid out a final peace plan for Israel and the Palestinians. What they could not accomplish in 8 years, they now attempt to do by backdoor methods only 3 weeks from leaving office…and very much in opposition to the incoming Trump administration.

It is despicable to say the least, but I want to share from a different perspective. While traveling today, I have poured over Zechariah 12-14, and encourage you to do the same. Amazingly, it seems to speak of exactly what is happening today! In them, the prophet tells us many things, two of which I want to focus on here:

1. Jerusalem will become a cup of reeling to those who try to destroy her.
2. All nations will rise up against her.

Friends, the fight right now is (in large part) over Jerusalem! Someone…lots of someones…are about to get hurt.  Furthermore, the upcoming gathering of nations in Paris France on January 15 (only 5 days before the current administration leaves office) is a meeting in which those nations will rise up against Israel in an attempt to “force peace” between Israel and the Palestinians. They will determine how to implement the plan John Kerry laid out in his speech this morning.

I also reviewed Joel 3:1-2, which warns that every nation who scatters God’s people and divides up their land will come into judgment! Those nations participating in these atrocious plans and actions against Israel will reap heavy consequences.

As God would have it, I found like-mindedness in earlier moments today in which I had access to internet. I caught Amir Tsarfati’s commentary on Kerry’s speech via his app, Behold Israel. I am composing this blog on my cell phone, in an airport without good internet connection.  Thus, I can’t link you there, but I encourage you to get the app or login to BeholdIsrael.org to catch the commentary for yourself. I believe it is dead on.

Dear friends, the Bridegroom is returning very soon for His bride. We see signs all around. It is time for the Bride of Christ (Christians) to make herself ready! Our King could return at any time!
