Unrighteous Deception and Strong Delusion

Seems even solid conservatives are falling for propaganda spewed from far left-wing media. 2 Thessalonians 2:5-12 warns of the hazards of unrighteous deception and strong delusion, and those evils are pursuing us all. Friends, it is vitally important to know the truth found only in God’s Word, and to stand upon the truth in every area of our lives.

Unrighteous deception and strong delusion come in many forms and with many targets. Israel is certainly one of those targets. The Bible strongly exhorts us to stand strong with Israel. Yet lies propagated by the media spin so quickly and deceptively that even conservatives are beginning to parrot the false narrative.

Below is a clip of Benny Johnson, a very popular social media influencer, a conservative, and a key player at Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk’s MAGA-supporting organization. Yet, here he is repeating the radical left’s narrative that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu lied to President Trump to get him to enter the war. Here his commentary regarding Netanyahu and what should be done…

To be clear: If someone wants to disagree with Israel (or any other country) and their position on things, that is not anti-Semitic. (I don’t always agree with our own government!) However, to blindly accept the liberal assessment of the NY Times that Benjamin Netanyahu blatantly and purposefully lied to President Trump to get his way is hearsay without being in the room to hear the conversation in the context in which it was said. To call foreign leaders liars for standing up for their own country is not cause to ban them from the White House! That’s called negotiation and diplomacy.

Amir Tsarfati commented on Johnson’s post:

MAGA influencers and podcasters are swallowing a lie straight from the hands of a woke, progressive, liberal newspaper.

Benny Johnson - shame on you! Do you really think your president is that weak or that ignorant? That your military and intelligence agencies are that clueless?

The regime in Iran did not fall because, on January 8, help never came - and more than 40,000 unarmed civilians were slaughtered. After that, who in their right mind would take to the streets unless they are armed to the teeth?

America supplied weapons to groups around Iran - but instead of smuggling them into the hands of the Iranian people, they chose to keep them for themselves. Trump himself admitted that just a few days ago.

Bottom line: The lines are getting very blurry. There seems little doubt the enemy is using propaganda to turn conservatives against conservatives. It’s a great way to lose elections and Benny Johnson’s comments seem to have done nothing but stoke the fire of distancing the US and Israel. It also provides evidence that, indeed, the last days will be filled with unrighteous deception and strong delusion. Sadly, in the scheme of things, this is minor compared to what’s coming. With the whirlwind of AI making the rounds, be ready for more of the same, only worse.

Believers, we are living in days of deception. Get into God’s Word and be determined to plant your flag on the hill of God’s truth found therein. Be diligent, and be careful who you listen to.
