When I lead tours to Israel, part of the preparation is to capture the reality on the ground in Israel and the mood of the people, particularly since October 7, 2023. As you know, the last living hostages were released recently, and I have deep interest in the physical, mental and spiritual state in which they returned.
Imagine for a moment being held captive 40 feet below ground in enemy territory, fed only breadcrumbs at times, and living in a space not big enough to stand or wide enough to fully stretch your arms. It’s pitch black, and your captors endlessly torture you mentally and emotionally, if not physically.
It’s actually amazing how many hostages survived. I’ve often said that Israelis are the most resilient people on the planet, and now some of them have become the embodiment of resilience.
But something else happened in the Gaza terror tunnels. For many, their faith grew mightily in the God of Israel. Prayers sustained them, and God was working in the lives of their families as well. Testimonies of some are now coming to light and I want to share a few with you:
Isn’t it amazing to hear testimonies in their own words! True, they may not yet recognize Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah), but they firmly believe the God of Israel spoke to them, protected them and brought them home!
Hearts are spiritually ripe for planting the seeds of salvation, and our tour group is going into the heart of the greatest evangelistic mission in Israel. One for Israel is the tip of the spear in Israel when it comes to blessing Jews and Arabs with the Messiah. In fact, they believe the best way to bless Israel is with Jesus! We will have the great honor of spending time with the staff, hearing the miracles taking place, and blessing them as they share Jesus with fellow Israelis.
I hope you will follow us here as we post updates from our trip. Don’t miss out…Come along with us!
