Iran has terrorized the Middle East for decades and threatens to destroy both the “little Satan” (Israel) and the “big Satan” (America). Likewise, allies of Israel and America have felt the heat as well.

With moderate Muslim nations, much of Europe, Israel and America being targeted by an Iranian regime who has worked for at least 4 decades to develop nuclear weapons, it seems Israel is doing the world a favor.

As liberal as British media typically is, The Telegraph seems to sense the importance of Israel’s attacks on Iran, and perhaps they speak for the world in inferring that, indeed, Israel is doing the world a favor.

While they continue to do the necessary work to ensure Iran cannot develop a nuclear weapon, Israel needs the prayers and support of Christians everywhere. By God’s favor, the Israeli Air Force has gained air dominance over Tehran and has virtually unfettered access to target whatever they must.

However, Israel does not possess aircraft capable of delivering the largest bunker busting bombs needed to pierce Iranian nuclear facilities built under mountains. Will they go in with special ops, convince America to deploy B-52 or B-2 bombers capable of delivering bunker busters, persuade American special ops to go in and do the job, or some combination of all of the above? Much wisdom is needed, so pray for clarity as Israeli officials make critical decisions.

Also, though Israel’s missile defense systems have performed with about 90% success, a few Iranian ballistic missiles have made it through Israeli defenses. A handful of civilian neighborhoods have been hit, resulting in casualties. Israel targets military and government sites and Iran targets civilians in Israel. Pray for the Israeli people. Each time Iran launches a barrage of rockets, they are forced once again to take cover in bomb shelters, and some are faced with significant repairs once they emerge. Life is precious to most Israelis and too many lives have been lost. Israelis are resilient people, but on the heels of the October 7 aftermath, most are mentally and emotionally spent, and the grief of loss is overwhelming. Please pray for them.

Finally, remember there is still a war going on in Gaza and hostages are still being held. Troops also continue defending Israel’s northern borders with Syria and Lebanon. While Israel’s air force and Mossad (international spy agency) are busy taking care of business in Iran, the IDF has called up hundreds of thousands of soldiers to continue the battles in Gaza and the north.

In essence, Israel fights current battles that no one else in the world wishes to enter. Pray that America (and other countries of the world) will stand firmly with Israel as they take the fight to our enemies.
