Faith Under Fire: An October 7 Miracle

Happy Wednesday, friends! After a break for Passion Week and timely messages on Monday and Tuesday, we are back on track with our Israel in perspective series. Israel continues to be embroiled in a necessary battle with Hamas, but the battle is not relegated only to the field. The battle of world perception continues to rage as well. The media loves to paint Israel as “the bad guy” for attacking Hamas and, in the process, reportedly killing tens of thousands of “innocent civilians.” (The numbers provided by the Gazan Ministry of Health are significantly overestimated, and the vast majority of casualties are terrorists.)

First, we must remember how this war started. There would not be a single “innocent civilian” dead if Hamas had not brutally raped and maimed women and children, burned babies alive, and wickedly murdered and kidnapped Israeli citizens on October 7. There would be no air attacks in Gaza, no IDF raids on hospitals that sit atop terror tunnels, and no supposed food shortage if the deeds of October 7 were not done. (Note: not a single patient or medical staff member was injured in either of the Shifa hospital raids to root out terrorists hiding there. Also, there is PLENTY of food entering Gaza. Hamas highjacks it, however, creating the illusion of a famine perpetuated by Israel. Sick!)

Secondly, let’s be very clear: the rise of Antisemitism is at levels not seen since the Holocaust. There is a concerted evil effort to annihilate the Jewish people. Those who think differently have their heads in the sands and are flagrantly misinterpreting what terror groups are saying and doing.

But we, dear Christian friends, are called to stand with Israel, and we must! We must refute the lies propagated by mainstream media and, unfortunately, spoken aloud by the highest ranking anti-Israel Democrats in American government.

It seems the world, including the US, is turning its back on Israel. Yet, the God of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps. He sees, He hears, He knows…and according to His sovereignty, He stands in defense of His beloved children! Let this miraculous story of God’s protection bless you. Then, spread the news of God’s miracles on behalf of Israel.

Friends, the God of Israel is the God of the Bible, and He stands in our defense as well. We look to the Jewish people as a light unto the nations. They have blessed us with the Messiah, and we are to be eternally grateful!
