Why Today Should be a Day of Prayer

There is never a day we should not pray. However, prayer is more crucial than normal today. Why? Two reasons: Hassan Nasrallah and Antony Blinken.

So, who are they, and why do they make prayer so important today?

Hassan Nasrallah is the leader of Hezbollah, the terrorist group operating in Lebanon and threatening Israeli troops in the north of Israel. Some say Hamas is ISIS on steroids and Hezbollah is Hamas on steroids. While the IDF has advanced into Gaza to destroy Hamas, Hezbollah has at least 200,000 rockets (many of them “smart rockets”) aimed at Israel.

Preparation for Nasrallah’s speech in Beirut, November 3, 2023

Perhaps even before you read this post, Nasrallah will address throngs of people in Beirut, undoubtedly “firing up” Hezbollah fighters. Will he declare war on Israel and unleash myriads of terrorists to inflict greater evil on Israel? Signs definitely point in that direction.

And what is the weak-kneed US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, doing on this day? He is in Israel to put pressure on Netanyahu to call a cease fire in Gaza and supply them with fuel. Ludicrous!

Over 500,000 liters of diesel fuel in tanks controlled by Hamas in Gaza.

While hospitals in the Gaza Strip complain of no fuel to run equipment, one must either doubt the validity or point the finger at Hamas. They routinely take supplies from hospitals for their own use. Afterall, their tunnels must be ventilated and their rocket launchers, hidden behind human shields (the hospital), must have the power to launch. Hamas HQ is literally in tunnels buried beneath a large hospital in Gaza City. The hospital has been provided plenty of fuel. It is just a matter of whether or not Hamas has redirected it to the tunnels below. (Despicable.)

Humanitarian needs in Gaza are created and perpetuated by Hamas. Nations, including Israel and the US (among many others) have given $billions in aid to Gaza over the years, and what did they do with it? They built a labyrinth of terror tunnels and thousands of rocket launchers.

So, a word to Antony Blinken: Stop catering to savages who hate Israel and America, and who boldly state they want to destroy us both! By the way, Israel will never agree to a two-state solution as long as one “state” wants the other dead!

So friends, today should be a day of fervent prayer that the schemes of the evil one will be thwarted, that the God of Israel will guard His uniquely called people, and that the current American administration will fall flat if they neglect to truly stand with Israel. Evil is stirring today…will you pray?

UPDATE: Keep praying dear friends. By some accounts, Nasrallah’s speech was rather mild and blubbering. The usual threats did not seem to materialize. We must wait to see if anything comes of it, and our prayers should continue to be for God to confuse the enemy and render them ineffective. Secondly, though Antony Blinken did pressure Netanyahu to call for a “humanitarian cease fire,” Netanyahu’s answer was reportedly a straight up, “No way! Not until our hostages are released.” Praise God for his determination to fight for Israel’s good. May the Lord thwart even the plans of Israel’s allies if they are not in Israel’s best interest. May God grant incredible wisdom to Israeli leaders, and may they be as “the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.” (1 Chronicles 12:32)
