Welcome back to Israel Insights, our occasional pulling back of the curtain to reveal resources used to prepare for our Israel tours. It is so important to establish foundational understanding of Israel’s past, present and future in order to more fully grasp the significance of Israel and its place in the world.

Today, we’ll look at the familiar Biblical account of David and Goliath. There is so much more to the narrative than is told in the familiar account. You will be blessed as you hear “the rest of the story!”

On our last tour, we stopped at Tel Azekah to overlook the Valley of Elah, where that famous confrontation took place. It was Sabbath, and our group enjoyed a picnic lunch in a park with dozens of Jewish families out for a Sabbath picnic of their own. It was an amazing experience, characteristic of our EXPERIENCE ISRAEL Tours. Our guests are still talking about that special day!
