Many signs indicate an imminent Russian invasion into Ukraine and news outlets (some more believable than others) are breaking news right now.

Signs of invasion include full Russian troop levels (well over 100,000) surrounding Ukraine; full compliments of aircraft, naval vessels, ground equipment and ammunition; field hospitals in place and fresh supplies of blood (which can only be kept for a limited time).

If you believe the US and our allies are in any position to stop them, think again. Though the American military is still powerful and fierce, weakness in the White House will definitely prevent any American success in stopping Russia. Invasion is coming, and our world is about to change once again for the worst.

Here is commentary on events in Russia and Ukraine from a Biblical perspective:

Believers, we absolutely must be ready for what’s coming. God is God and can do exactly as He pleases. He could call off invasions, put a stay on events described in Bible prophecy, or could slow down time. But if we truly understand His Word, we know it would take something that dramatic to bring about any stability in the world. Is He capable of doing that…yes!

We, however, look to God’s Word and we see prophecy in motion as we speak. The prophets and New Testament writers tell us of days like this. The prophet Ezekiel clearly tells us a Russian czar will lead other nations or people groups in an invasion of Israel. Don’t think for a second that Ukraine is Russia’s final goal!

Bible prophecy is playing out right before our very eyes, proving once again that God’s Word is 100% accurate from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21! Dear friends, that means His promises to us are just as true as Bible prophecy! Look at what Jesus Himself said:

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ² In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

~John 14:1-3

²⁸ “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

~Luke 21:28

The apostle Paul told us exactly how that redemptive entry into the presence of Jesus will occur:

¹⁶ For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

~1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

~1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Therefore, do not fear, Christian friends! Indeed, our redemption draws near! Soon, we will see our Savior face-to-face!

Perhaps you doubt what you have read here, or you think Christians are just nuts. But, what if you are wrong? My friend, the Christian world loves you…I love you. Just as Satan desires to take everyone he can to hell with him, we desire to take everyone we can to heaven with us! Will you please stop for one moment to consider Jesus? He willingly died on the cross to save me from my sins, and you from yours. The only difference between you and me is I have accepted His free gift. I’m as undeserving as the next person, but He doesn’t choose us based on our behavior. He chooses us all based on His great love for us. He loves YOU, and He proved it when He died on the cross for YOU.
