We’re not done with our tour rewind, but let’s pause this Lord’s Day to shift focus a bit. As Christmas nears this year, I am more sensitive than ever to the conditions in our world today.
Israel is in political turmoil…
Globalists labor intently to deceive…
Iran is in chaos, pushing leadership into desperation…
Leftist ideology is driving America toward collapse…
The church worldwide is becoming irrelevant…
Through earthly eyes, it seems hopeless, doesn’t it! But for us as believers, there is HOPE! Hope in Jesus Christ! He who has promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23), and He has promised us eternal life. Despite what goes on in this world, our Savior reigns…and will reign forever!
Now, consider this. Emmanuel (“God with us”) came first to the Jews (Romans 1:16, John 4:22). True, the door has opened for Gentiles to come to salvation, but Emmanuel came to His own, and for His own He still desires faith. As believers, we pray to that end.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
Our tour group returned from Israel only days ago, and we visited the Tower of David. (See yesterday’s post!) It is in that very place Joshua Aaron sings of Emmanuel coming to redeem Israel. Enjoy!
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
~Romans 1:16 [Emphasis mine]
I was blown away this morning when someone in my SS class played this video on a big screen of Joshua Aaron singing O( Come O Come Immanuel at the Tower of David!! And to know that we were there–WOW!
A HUGE Blessing!!! Kathy
