Expanding the Borders of Looking for the Blessed Hope

Several weeks ago many of you joined me in prayer to seek direction for Looking for the Blessed Hope.  The focus of my blog has been to share Biblical teaching and to view current events through the lens of Scripture, helping us all to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus (Titus 2:12-13).

Along with that, I am reminded of a book published years ago entitled The Prayer of Jabezin which the author (Bruce Wilkinson) walked readers through 1 Chronicles 4:10 on a journey to discover how to open ourselves up to God’s powerful blessings by willingly allowing Him to “expand our borders.”

Often, I have been encouraged to extend the reach of Looking for the Blessed Hope, and have been challenged to use social media to accomplish that.  For a person who has always sworn off social media, that is a HUGE expansion of borders!  However, the Lord stepped in and seems to be opening doors I never dreamed possible, and some means of social media seem logical.  So, while I’m a bit reluctant (and still far from a “fan” of social media), I am exploring means of making ministry more effective.

So, I am now on Facebook and Looking for the Blessed Hope has a page.  You may have noticed the FB widget on the sidebar of this blog.  Click on it and you will magically be taken to the LFTBH page.  Not only will I (supposedly!) be better able to communicate with those interested in Israel and Bible prophecy, but ultimately I will set up discussion groups for those involved in studies that I offer.

Though launched and functioning (as far as I can tell), the Facebook page is still a work in process and I’m still learning how to effectively use the tools.  So, your patience is appreciated!

Please continue to pray.  The Lord is still revealing His plans and I am committed to follow them!  My prayer is that He will be glorified and you will be blessed!
