Only hours ago, the first F-35 fighter jets, named “Adir” (“mighty”) in Hebrew, arrived at Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel.  Ceremonies to welcome the arrival were delayed over 5 hours due to inclement weather out of Italy.  Honored guests at the ceremony included President Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, OC Air Force Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel, US Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and US Ambassador Dan Shapiro.

Israel was one of about 7 countries who had a part in designing the new jet, and is the first nation to receive delivery of the fiercest fighters in the skies.  Netanyahu stated: “Israel is taking off to new heights, and when our pilots in the ‘Adir’ jets will fly high, we will watch them with pride.”  To which US Defense Secretary Carter replied, “Together, the US and Israel will now dominate the skies.”

BTW, this development is not a moment too soon.  News has broken that the Russians, Iran and the Assad regime have now overtaken Aleppo, Syria’s largest city.  Damascus is next, so take a look at Isaiah 17:1 then keep your eyes on Damascus.
