UC Berkley Cancels Student-Led Anti-Israel Course

Last week, UC Berkley, one of the most liberal campuses in the United States, cancelled a class containing blatant Anti-Semitic bias, indicating concern for any course that “espouses a single political viewpoint and/or appears to offer a forum for political organizing rather than an opportunity for the kind of open academic inquiry that Berkeley is known for.”

According to Breaking Israel News, the sponsoring faculty member, Hatem Bazian, is a strong proponent of the BDS Movement.

Kudos to a university who stepped outside their norm and actually took a favorable position on Israel.  This is an isolated decision, so let’s pray that UC Berkley and other US universities continue to make favorable decisions regarding Israel.
