Netanyahu’s Response to Terrorist Murder of 13-Year-Old

On June 30, an American-Israeli teenage girl was stabbed dozens of times by a Palestinian terrorist who crawled into her bedroom window and savagely attacked while the young girl slept.

It is another example of the brutality birthed by the evil that drives terrorism, and I’m struck by the polar opposite reactions of leaders of the two nations of which this young girl was a citizen.  On the one hand, President Obama has been silent in the matter.  To my knowledge (and I have done research to find it), I am not aware of any statements made by the President regarding this situation.  (Various Jewish news outlets confirm that.)

On the other hand, Benjamin Netanyahu “said it like it is” in this 2 1/2-minute video:

Israel is not perfect, and its leadership has its own shortcomings.  However, I continue to be very disappointed in American leadership that refuses to acknowledge radical terrorism, and who seemingly goes out of its way not to implicate terrorists and nations who back them.

Thankfully, President Obama did acknowledge the contributions to humanity of Elie Wiesel, the Nobel Prize-winning Holocaust survivor who died yesterday.  About Wiesel, Obama said he was “an example to humanity to never be bystanders to injustice.”

President Obama could learn a thing or two from Elie Wiesel.
