As believers in Yeshua (Jesus), we set aside Sundays to bring specific focus to Him. We are bound by no law to worship on a certain day and, in fact, our lives are to be lived out in worship every day.

But on this day, just before the start of the Jewish commemoration of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) which begins at sundown tomorrow, I hope you will pray for Jewish people all over the world to break from blindness and see Jesus. These are days of introspection and solemn consideration of their sin and the hope that God will deliver forgiveness. Indeed, through His Son, Jesus, God the Father provided the perfect sacrificial atonement. The gift is free, but is given only when we recognize our sin, repent, and invite Jesus into our lives.

Those of us who have received that perfect gift know it is God’s amazing grace. As you pray for Jewish hearts to be open today, ask the Giver of amazing grace to pour it out liberally upon all who will receive!

If you are reading this and do not know Jesus personally as your Lord and Savior, He is your perfect atoning sacrifice as well, and He offers you the free gift as well! Whether Jew or Gentile, you come to Him exactly the same way. Will you receive His free gift?
