Encouraging Words from Israel

Friends, we’ve spent several days revealing how the Holy Spirit is stirring in Israel, the welcome to Jews returning to their homeland, and news too good to keep secret. Our God is alive and working in the land of Israel.

Not only is God faithfully working in Israel today, but He will continue to be faithful to Israel always, remembering the promises He has made to them. Despite growing hatred and antisemitism from nations, people and, yes, even the church, God will prove to be totally and eternally faithful to His people.

More and more Jews in Israel and around the world look to the left and find hatred, then look to the right and find the very same. On one side, the hostility is driven by liberal, progressive, and often even communist ideology. On the other, it is fueled by outright racism and antisemitism. The more they try to fit in, the more they are met with walls of hatred and rejection, wrapped in blood libels and conspiracy theories. Perhaps this is exactly what Balaam saw when he declared: “For from the top of the rocks I see him, And from the hills I behold him; There! A people dwelling alone, Not reckoning itself among the nations.” (Numbers 23:9 NKJV) When you reach rock bottom and look in every direction, finding neither help nor sympathy, there is only one place left to look - not merely to the hills and the mountains, but far above them, to heaven itself. “I will lift up my eyes to the hills - From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1–2 NKJV) Israel may stand alone among the nations, but she is never alone. The Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and the Maker of heaven and earth remains faithful to His covenant and to His people forever.

Our God is faithful, my friends, and He will watch over His own. Our responsibility is to pray (Psalm 122:6-9), bless (Genesis 12:3), comfort (Isaiah 40:1) and stand (Ezekiel 33:1-11) with and for Israel. As they lift their eyes, let’s ask the Lord to reveal Himself in clear ways, that they may see and recognize their Keeper!
