On Tuesday night, Amir Tsarfati posted a solemn message on Telegram. It said:
The great falling away is in full swing! The growing hostility toward Israel in the camp of the conservatives is merely a symptom. The rial issue runs deeper - it is the widespread biblical illiteracy and the craving for empty liturgy and religion. These are the five foolish virgins with no oil in their lamps.
Anyone who things that calling themselves "conservative" and saying "Christ is King" automatically makes them born again and Spirit-filled - I have bad news. Jesus will say, "I don't know you!"
Jesus said: "You must be born again." (John 3:7)
And as for the question of who Israel is, and whether God is still faithful to His promises to the - I urge you to read Romans 11 in its entirety!
Amen to that! Friends, there is lots of Christian-sounding rhetoric floating around the internet and social media, but please make sure it aligns with Scripture! The idea that young people are “flocking to church” is a bit misleading, as they are (in large part) flocking to a “religious experience” that feels like church. They are not necessarily flocking to strong, Bible-believing, Bible-teaching churches. Kudos to those who are plugging into a Biblically sound church.
I just started teaching Why Israel Matters at my church, and part of our homework assignment this week is to study Romans 9-11. In alignment with Amir’s exhortation at the end of the quote above, I urge you also to study God’s Word and be able to refute the subtle lies that worm their way into our thought life. Do not be deceived!
