Israel’s security cabinet recently approved a proposal to fully overthrow and occupy Gaza City by October 7, 2025. Though negotiations for a hostage deal continue, the only legitimate attempt to recover hostages may be only through escalated military pressure by the IDF.

The takeover of Gaza requires a month of preparation and another month for the initial takeover. Yet, there are logistical difficulties with the operation, including the fate of the hostages. Likewise, the IDF indicates it will take 3 months and 3 divisions to destroy all the explosives in Gaza. Still, some ministers believe the collapse of Gaza City will collapse and help bring down Hamas.

Pray for wisdom of Israeli officials. Perhaps applying intense pressure on Hamas will bring an end to the Gaza war. Pray also that Hamas will be fully and completely annihilated. May the might hand of Israel’s redeemer show Himself strong on behalf of Israel.
