Much has been reported about Israel’s failures on October 7, 2023. In the darkest day in Israeli history since the Holocaust, thousands of Hamas terrorists and Gaza citizens flooded across the Israeli border to attack and brutally torture, maim, and murder thousands of innocent citizens.

Known for their world-renowned intelligence capabilities and a strong military, Israelis (and the world) were shocked by the ease at which evil was perpetuated on a devastating scale right under the nose of Israeli intelligence officials. Due to that failure, hostages continue to be held in underground tunnels and other harsh conditions in Gaza and war rages inside the Gaza Strip.

While authorities continue investigating to determine how the breach occurred, reality has set in. Wise Israelis and those around the world are coming to realize Israel failed, not because they are weak, but because they “assumed its enemies come from the same moral universe.”
