Hi friends, I recently saw a video that reminded me of the cost of Israel’s war against the evils of terrorism. I was touched by a mother’s broken heart as a result of the death of her valiant warrior son, and IDF soldier. Perhaps most inspiring, though, was that mother’s realization that she was not alone in losing her son, but that Almighty God also bore the pain of losing a Son as well.

What a poignant reminder that our God never allows us to go through what He isn’t willing to walk through with us. There is no more comforting thought than that.

The video is also a stark reminder that, despite a temporary lull in fighting, Israel remains embroiled in a war for her very existence. Chants of “Death to Israel” still echo throughout the Middle East from the mouths of evil regimes whose ultimate goal is to wipe Israel off the map. The cost to fight that war is the loss of precious sons and daughters who bravely fight for their country. Every nation has fighters, but I encourage you to pray for Israelis who have lost loved ones fighting to defend the uniquely called nation of Israel. Pray also for protection of those still fighting, and for their families who long to see them return safely.

Prayer is a powerful thing! Let’s use it well!
