Here in America, we are in the midst of what could be the most consequential election in American history. The candidates and the parties have never been more diametrically opposed in their positions on virtually everything. Neither party or presidential candidate is perfect, but as followers of Jesus, it is our obligation to determine which side most closely aligns with our beliefs.

A key belief for all of us should be where the candidates stand on Israel. Biblically, we are exhorted in many ways to stand with Israel. (Genesis 12:3, Romans 11, Isaiah 62, for example) Again, what happens in this election has the potential to dramatically set the course for American-Israeli relations for decades to come. As in almost all issues in this election, the parties are wildly different in where they stand. Trump and the Republicans are staunch supporters of Israel, while Harris and the Democrats waver at best, and downright disparage Israel and support “Palestinian rights” in many settings.

Couple that with other Biblical values, such as sanctity of life, religious freedom, nationalism (rather than globalism), limited government, and commitment to conservative values, and we as believers should have no doubt as to which party most closely aligns with Biblical values. But, we need to show up and VOTE our values.

Did you know roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of Christians don’t vote? That’s over 25 million eligible voters. Imagine what impact Christians could have if we ALL vote!
