Sundown tonight marks the beginning of Passover when Jewish minds turn toward redemption and deliverance. As Christians, we view the events of Passover as a Biblical story that helps us see and understand our Redeemer and Deliverer. Through Jewish eyes, Passover was the key event in history in which God redeemed and delivered the Hebrew people!
But all these years the Jews (in general) have yet to recognize the Redeemer/Deliverer! This is prime time to pray for Jewish eyes, hearts and minds to be open to the Gospel, and the fields have never been more ripe for harvest! Amazing things are happening in Israel and it is our privilege and honor to pray. Please read (and be blessed by) what One for Israel CEO, Erez Soref, shares. Then commit to pray for the Jewish people throughout the 8-day Passover season!
You might know that Passover this year begins before sundown on Monday, April 22, and ends after nightfall on April 30. As people from across Israel prepare for this sacred season, our hearts turn to the profound reminders of redemption and deliverance.
This year, against the backdrop of October 7th and the ongoing war, these themes resonate with even greater urgency and meaning to the people here in Israel.
We are witnessing an unprecedented curiosity and openness among the Jewish people to the message of Yeshua’s hope and salvation. The challenges and sorrows brought about by the current circumstances have led many to seek answers, hope, and comfort.
It’s in this pivotal moment that I reach out to you with a heartfelt request…
I want to invite you to stand with One For Israel in prayer this Passover season for the salvation of the Jewish people.
Here is just one of the many messages we’ve recently received from those seeking Yeshua:
“My beautiful Lord called my name, around two weeks ago! I am a Jewish woman currently living in Israel and I work for a Jewish organization that focuses on promoting Rabbinic Judaism to the Jewish people. I feel like I cannot do this job anymore. I cannot promote something that I know is not true! Jesus came and saved us and saved me and called me and I want to serve Him and nothing else.”
We have been humbled and inspired by the surge in spiritual hunger we are witnessing:
1. Our staff now receives an average of over 100 questions from seekers per month. This is in addition to our Hebrew YouTube channel reaching over 100,000 subscribers in February of this year.
2. We are also seeing a record number of Israelis downloading our Hebrew Bible app, with over 4,400 downloads since the beginning of the year (more than all of 2023).
3. Our physical Bible distribution is up 108% year-over-year as of this writing.
There’s a hunger for the Gospel like we’ve never seen! And this Passover, we know ever more hearts will be stirred and turn to our Messiah. This is why I’m asking for you to pray for the salvation of the Jewish people this Passover season.
Thank you. I wish you a very happy Passover, as we give thanks for salvation through our precious Savior and celebrate the resurrection of our Messiah.
In Messiah Jesus' name,
Dr Erez Soref
One for Israel, president
Friends, we are humble recipients of the grace and salvation given by the Jewish Messiah. America and the rest of the world were entrusted with that gift straight from Israel, yet we seem to be all but done with the free gift. So, let’s give that gift of grace and salvation back to His own people and pray they receive Him! Will you join in prayer?
