A Christian’s Honor: Pray for Israel

Hi friends! As followers of Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah, it is our honor to pray as God’s Word commands for Israel and the Jewish people. One could argue that it is our “duty” or our “responsibility” because Scripture demands it. However, for those of us who love what God loves and hate what God hates, it is a distinct privilege to pray for the Jewish people, our spiritual “cousins.”

Here are examples of God’s invitations to us to pray for the peace and security of Israel:

  • Psalm 122 – an admonition to pray for the peace of Jerusalem
  • Isaiah 62 – never withholding prayer until God makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth
  • Ezekiel 33 – fulfilling our mission to be watchmen for the house of Israel

Approach this privilege with honor and commitment!
