As a proud American, I am grateful for God’s amazing grace in the founding of the greatest empire on earth. However, I am also ashamed of what we have done to our country, particularly during my lifetime. We have squandered what God has given us, and to whom much is given, much is required. We are failing to be good stewards of God’s blessings to us.

An event happened yesterday that may prove to make March 25, 2024 one of the saddest and most disastrous days in American history, as the US unequivocally turned its back on Israel. Many will not realize the deep significance, but America failed to stand with Israel against a UN resolution calling for a “lasting sustainable ceasefire” in Gaza with absolutely no stipulation for release of Israeli hostages.

There is much to be said about America’s overt abandonment of Israel. Over the past weeks, Democratic leaders such as Chuck Schumer (himself a Jew), Bernie Sanders (also a Jew), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (a blatant antisemite) and Joe Biden (among others) have very blatantly derided Israel for their steadfast attempt to dismantle a demonic terrorist organization (Hamas) who brutally attacked Israel on October 7. There is one thing driving this: wickedness from the pit of hell.

Despite other atrocities, such as Russia invading a sovereign nation and pounding them mercilessly, neither the UN nor anyone else is calling for a ceasefire there. Nor is the UN sanctioning Russia for firing missiles into civilian areas, killing tens of thousands of Ukrainians. No one is paying attention to the persecution of Christians or the acts of genocide happening in various African regions. Rather, all eyes are on Israel…just as the Bible says will happen in the last days. Israel will ultimately stand alone, and that time is fast approaching.

So, buckle up, Christian brothers and sisters. We are about to experience consequences that God’s Word warns us about in Genesis 12:3, Joel 3:2 and Zechariah 12:2-3, 9. Seldom have those passages been any more chilling for us in America than now.

As a result of the Biden administration’s decision in the UN, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called off a planned US trip for two of his top officials who were to visit the US to discuss war plans and ceasefire objectives in Gaza. I agree completely with Pastor Jack Hibbs who said:

Israel absolutely made the right decision by ditching this invitation to the circus at the White House. The United States is flirting with its own peril as it plays games with Israel during her time of war. It is important that every single voting American in the November election votes every single Democrat out of office. Even if your religion is the Democrat party, I’m inviting you to vote against your party of death. ….No one’s escaping the issue of Israel: no world leader, no Congress and no church, for that matter.”
