Friends for Life, But We Must Say Goodbye

I can’t begin to tell you how heartwarming it is as a tour leader to watch our tour groups become family! We built lifelong friendships, and we have had reunions. We will never be the same, having been there together. It is the joy of my heart, and I am moved by what Israel does to people. After almost 2 weeks away, though, it is time to return, where the cruelty of everyday life waits to smack us in the face!

But first, every trip ends with a very special gathering: our last meal together, and a chance for those who wish to voice their joys and their longings. It is a very sweet time and often emotions run deep. Part of Israel will go home in the hearts of each person who goes there, and saying goodbye is never easy. Thus, we say, “Until next time…!”

I’ll share more thoughts over the next day or two but join with us in our farewell to Israel…

A special word to those who were on the February 2023 tour: thank you so much for sharing your life with me and your fellow travelers. Sharing our joys can never quite be replicated, but being able to share your tour with others is as close as many will get to being there, so thank you for your presence there that makes this possible. Each of you is a treasure to me and I can hardly wait until we are altogether again in the New Jerusalem!!! Maranatha…Lord come quickly!
