Happy Lord’s Day, my friends!
I have a sense that some are facing difficult challenges that tempt us to drop out of the race. Though we will one day look back at our time on earth as a very short sprint, living life on this planet feels more like a marathon. If you are a runner, you know you often feel like a million bucks when the race begins. But a point comes when even the most seasoned runners feel “spent” and must fight through that stretch to catch their second wind.
Life is like that. Some days we feel like the conquerors we are (Romans 8:37-39). Other days, we feel defeated, wondering if we will ever catch our second wind. Life beats us down, but every athlete will tell you the greatest advancements come through hardship. That is where champions are made! So, press on with everything in you. Run to finish the race. Run for the prize that awaits you!
One day we will cross the finish line and enter into eternity with our Lord. The race is worth it!
