Feast of Trumpets: The Christian’s Rapture or Something Different?

Today is the Jewish Feast of Trumpets. Yesterday we noted that Israel celebrates Rosh Hashanah, the civil new year, rather than the Biblical commemoration of the Feast of Trumpets. If only they knew the substance (Jesus) rather than the shadow. (Colossians 2:17)

Also mentioned in yesterday’s post was a potentially controversial statement regarding the fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets. Is it the rapture or something else? The common position of most Bible teachers has been that the rapture is the fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets. It’s certainly not a hill to die on, but there is another perspective that seems to hold equal validity.

When we consider that the feasts of Israel, described in Leviticus 23, are for the Jewish people, we have a potential conflict in thinking the Feast of Trumpets is for the church.

Either way, we can rest assured that a trumpet will call us home in the rapture, and a trumpet will call the Jewish people to belief in the Messiah as well!

After teaching it somewhat differently in the past, Amir Tsarfati has a new perspective. Check it out, then decide for yourself what the fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets is.
