Hi friends! If you follow, you know a huge part of the ministry of Looking for the Blessed Hope is not only this blog, but our trips to Israel! There is nothing like being in the land of the Bible to make your Bible come alive in ways simply impossible without being there. However, our EXPERIENCE ISRAEL Tours are more than seeing the sites and walking where Jesus walked.
Our tours are uniquely customized so that we engage the culture in ways other tours do not. We spend an additional day in Israel, enabling our guests to observe Jews and Palestinians working happily side-by-side in Samaria (aka the West Bank), meet and encourage Holocaust survivors, engage with IDF soldiers at an outpost near Lebanon, and visit with Arab, Palestinian and Messianic pastors to hear of the wonderful work they are doing to share the love of Jesus in the land of Israel.
Critical to the success of our tours is the work done by One for Israel to coordinate our tours (hotels, logistics, guides, etc). We couldn’t do it without them!
However, tour coordination is only a small part of what One for Israel does. For example, their Bible college (Israel College of the Bible) is the only Messianic seminary in Israel and they are pumping out leaders, such as the pastors we visit, who have an incredible impact on their congregations and cities. (I’ll share more about a recent graduation tomorrow, so stop by!)
In addition, OFI has a very robust website filled with resources for Jews and Arabs seeking to know Jesus, but in danger of being cast off by family. The online resources are reaching millions of Arabs and Jews, both in Israel and the greater Middle East. They believe the best way to bless Israel is with Jesus!
Despite a relatively small staff, they also manage to provide aid to those impoverished in Israel, care for Holocaust survivors and the elderly, provide opportunities for IDF soldiers to gather for fellowship and hearing of the love of Jesus. The ministry is far reaching and very impactful.
If you love Israel, but are not familiar with One for Israel, I encourage you to visit their website to learn more, and I encourage you to consider going to Israel with us in February when we will make a stop at One for Israel to visit staff and hear more testimonies of the work they do.
