Encouragement in the Midst of Signs of the Times

Happy Lord’s Day, my friends! Let’s take a refreshing break in our study of signs of the times to soak in much needed truth. While the world is filled with chaos, God’s Word is filled with life-giving truth.

First, stop to consider God’s order of things, and the fact that He doesn’t hide things from us. God revealed deep and secret things to Daniel, enabling him to interpret the king’s dream (Daniel 2:22-23). As friends of Jesus, He delights in telling us things made known from the Father (John 15:15). Paul even tells us there is no need for him to write to us (believers) concerning the day of the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:1-2). Why? Because for those who know Him and listen to Him, we know everything we need to know!

His order of things is something we know. For example, He tells us He will deliver us from the wrath that is to come (1 Thessalonians 5:9), so our rapture occurs before the tribulation (God’s ultimate wrath). That is truth, dear friends, and it is life-giving as we consider the chaos and destruction that seem to be lurking everywhere in our world today.

We endured a season in which doctors told us lie after lie after lie. What are doctors going to say when the rapture occurs? How will they account for the missing people? Minds are deceived and hearts are hardened dramatically already, will truth be non-existent when we are gone? The enemy of our souls is doing his best to deceive us now. Imagine what it will be like when the master deceiver is revealed. Though Satan and his minions are preparing the world for the Antichrist, God, throughout the ages, has been faithful to reveal truth to us, preparing us for the rapture.

Now is the time for repentance, beginning with us, then spreading the Gospel and inviting others to repent as well. How many of us are standing totally and completely unashamed of the Gospel and spreading it like wildfire? What do you suppose would happen if each person shared the Gospel and only one other person repented and came to know Jesus? Then that person shared the Gospel and only one other person repented and came to know Jesus? Then that person….

You get the picture! If everyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ shared the Gospel and only one person repented and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, the number of believers would double! Imagine the numbers if each of those, then shared the Gospel and another repented. What if it was repeated time-after-time-after-time, what impact would it make?

Bible lovers, God has shared the secret things with us because He intends for us to share them with others. With chaos swirling, deception and delusion flourishing, and minds being depraved, how much longer do we have before the Gospel falls only on deaf ears and we are taken away in the rapture?

Will you join me in a challenge? I’m asking the Lord to send unsaved people my way, and my commitment is to share the Gospel as often as I can. By the end of this year, I’m asking the Lord to draw at least one person (I hope more!) who heard the Gospel to relationship with Him. Will you take the challenge?

Signs of the times are everywhere. Will you rescue others?

I agree it is time to be talking about God and His Son. I had a discussion with my granddaughter and her husband. Thankfully they are saved but were complaining about the state of the world. I encouraged them to consider that all that is contained in the Word must happen so that God’s plan can happen. Be joyful as His truth unfolds before us and be part of His plan to save the lost. Yea God!
