Day 9: 31 Days of Prayer for Israel – Strength for the Youth

We’re into a new week of our prayer journey through the month of May. I pray the blessings gleaned from this time of prayer lift your soul and brighten your day!

One for Israel has some exciting opportunities for young people in Israel, and we join in prayer for God’s favor to reign as they minister to them.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

~Isaiah 40:30-31

It’s common in the West to send sons and daughters off for a few years after high school to live and study at a university, but it is not so simple in Israel. Students there commute from all over the country to study at Israel College of the Bible, and many are also juggling full-time jobs and families.

Please lift up all who are studying with ICB – that God will give them strength and grace, that they will be well-equipped to be effective workers in God’s kingdom, and steadfast in the Word and in faith.
