Remembering the 6 Million Jewish Lives Lost in the Holocaust

Yom HaShoah, the Jewish national day of remembrance of the Holocaust, commences today at sunset.

May we never compare any of today’s atrocities to the ultimate Jewish atrocity of the Holocaust. The term is often tossed around when there are heinous acts committed. Not to diminish heinous acts, but nothing compares to the brutal, systematic plan of elimination of an entire people group, such as witnessed against the Jewish people in the Holocaust. Let’s not cheapen the significance by applying the word “Holocaust” to other atrocities.

Today, please join me in honoring those who were lost by praying that surviving generations will flourish! The greatest vengeance against those who perpetrated the Holocaust is the thriving of Jewish families worldwide!

Blessings to my Jewish friends. We remember.
