There is heavy action on and surrounding a very large military base near Homs, in northern Syria. The T4 base, which was utilized by both Iranian and Russian forces is now in the hands of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp following Russia’s mass exit a day or two ago.

Since then, many truckloads of heavy military equipment and 4X4 vehicles have arrived. Personnel include the Fatimiyun militia as well as the IRGC. Both are military-hardened units, ready for battle. Israeli intelligence anticipates many more rounds of equipment and personnel to arrive, likely making this the primary base of operations for the Iranians. The base is roughly 130 miles north of Damascus Syria. Damascus is roughly 40 miles from the Israeli border. (For perspective, Phoenix AZ is a little more than 170 miles from the Mexican border, well less than 30 minutes in a military fighter jet.)

It is unclear why Russia abandoned the base. It could be they cannot afford the large operating expenses in that region, so are pulling back to allot more to other fronts. It could be they are clearing out to give Israel a clear shot at attacks without endangering their own troops. Or, it could certainly be some other as yet unknown reason. Regardless, this is another huge step in the stage-setting of the Isaiah 17:1 and Ezekiel 38 prophecies of the destruction of Damascus and the northern invasion known as the War of Gog and Magog.

This likely did not catch Israel by surprise, as they just completed “Galilee Rose,” a military-wide exercise to coordinate efforts of all branches and agencies of the IDF.
